Edo 2024: Olumide of LP’s Gerontophobia Exposed

In a recent interview, the Labour Party’s candidate, Olumide Akpata, who has added Osaigbovo to his name to deceive the Benin people as being a homeboy, was exposed as someone who has an irrational and disproportionate fear of people older than him.

He didn’t hide his unnecessary disdain for, and aversion to both Dr Asue Ighodalo and Asarodion Ogie Esq because they are both older than him and more experienced.
Akpata made this morbid abnormal prejudice during an interview where launched an unprovoked diatribe against the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Asue Ighodalo.
“You must also look at tbe issue of energy, youth. That particular candidate(Asue) is middle 60s, knocking on 70…as far as I am concerned, the Edo State Government House is not a retirement home.”
Whatever it is worth, Asue looks 100 times more youthful and healthier than him. The only time he was seen in public doing anything near being youthful was when he was dancing like a clown.
Meanwhile, Asue has crisscrossed the the length and breadth of Edo State meeting the electorates daily. So I cannot understand where his arrogation of youthfulness is coming from.
If before the electioneering proper Olumide has started displaying unrestrained prejudice against those who are older than him in an unconscionable way, what do we expect of him when he becomes the governor?
