Edo 2024: We’re strongly behind You, women group tells PDP’s Ighodalo

As the campaigns for the 2024 governorship election gather momentum, the women’s wing of Asue Ogie Solidarity Movement (AOSM) have assured the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, Dr Asue Ighodalo Esq., of their readiness to support, canvas, mobilise and ensure that PDP comes out victorious in the September gubernatorial election.

The women affirmed this when answering questions from newsmen in Benin City after the group met the gubernatorial candidate.

The AOSM State women leader, Hon. Elizabeth Abai, noted that the forum conducted a thorough assessment of the different candidates for the governorship position, and found that only Dr Asue Ighodalo has the needed credentials and competence to further on the peace and development strides in the state.

According to her, “after due consideration, the women have resolved that they have not seen any other candidate worthy of taking over from our father, the Executive Governor of Edo State State, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki.

“Having searched into the character, intelligence, capacity and competence of all the candidates contesting for the governorship seat, the women have found Asue Ighodalo to be the only one that has the capacity, character, competence, and compassion to handle the tough job

“So today, the 19th day of April, 2024, all the AOSM women drawn from the three Senatorial Districts in the state, hereby confirm and affirm that Dr. Asue Ighodalo of the PDP is endorsed as the preferred governorship candidate in the 2024 governorship election. We also endorse his running mate, Osarodion Ogie,” she stated gleefully.

The women Leader further stated that they are right behind the PDP candidate and they will support, canvas, mobilise, vote and ensure the party comes out victorious.
