She noted that despite their dedication and talent, Ghanaian musicians often earn less due to smaller show bookings and limited financial resources.

Nigerian artists perform on larger global platforms, which allows them to generate more income and engage in more visible philanthropic activities, such as giveaways, which are less common among Ghanaian artists due to financial constraints.
Efya emphasized that the financial disparity is real, making it difficult for Ghanaian musicians to match the scale of Nigerian artists’ generosity, even though Ghanaian artists are equally talented.
She also highlighted ongoing efforts to improve the Ghanaian music industry, including better support structures for upcoming artists, though funding and investment remain challenges that hinder the production and promotion of high-quality music.
