Ex-Abia First Lady, Mercy Orji resigns from PDP

Mercy Orji, the ex-First lady of Abia State, has has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Mercy is the wife of the former Governor of Abia State and the immediate past Representative of Abia central senatorial district in the national assembly, Senator Theodore Ahamefule Orji.
Her resignation was disclosed in a letter addressed to the PDP Chairman, Urban Ward 1 in Umuahia North local government area of Abia state.

The letter was also copied to the Abia State Chairman and Acting National Chairman of the party.
It partly read: “I write to formally resign as a member of the PDP with effect from this day, 21st of May, 2024 for personal reasons.
