Former Chairman of Yagba East Local Government Area, Mr Shola Ademola Samuel aka Gadaffi, stated this while speaking with newsmen in Lokoja.
Mr Samuel who is also the Chief of Staff to a member representing Yagba constituency at the lower chamber, Elder Leke Abejide said the autonomy is the best from the judiciary to masses in recent time.
He explained that the development will enable masses feel the pulse of governance.
Mr Samuel said the autonomy will also be a blessings to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo if the decision of the Apex Court is strictly followed for local government transformation.
His words ” it will boost the profile of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in the aspect of responsive governance. What he does at the State level will be complimented at the local level. This will stimulate development at that level, thus complementing the efforts of government. ”
He however emphasised that the Governor’s interference can only be limited and not totally removed except there is more constitutional review for power devolution.
