Following the promotion of 620 police inspectors serving under the FCT Police command to the substantive rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP 11). The Commissioner of police in FCT CP Benneth C. Igweh, on Wednesday, decorated the new officers at the command headquarters in Abuja.
CP Igweh, while addressing the new officers shortly after their decoration, appreciated the Inspector-General of Police and the Police Service Commission for the meritorious promotion of the new officers.
He congratulated to the newly promoted officers and charged them to sit up and handle professionally the responsibilities and challenges that may come with the new ranks.
He, however, used the opportunity to also called on the residents of FCT to continue to be vigilant and take advantage of the police emergency lines in reporting any suspicious activities through the command via 08032003913, 08028940883, 0806,1581938, and 07057337653.
