…..Holds meeting with security heads to ensure safety of institution
Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State, urges enhanced collaboration among Federal Government agencies and stakeholders to realize President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for the education sector.
Rt. Hon. Balarabe Abdullahi gave the charge when he led council members on a familiarization tour of the North East Development Commission’s Damaturu office and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCD.
Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi is the immediate past Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, said the visit to the Coordinating Office of North East Development Commission aimed to promote partnership for providing safety, a conducive learning environment, and attracting development to the Polytechnic community.
The former Speaker emphasized the need for stakeholders and relevant federal agencies to strengthen synergies, aligning with President Tinubu’s vision to propel Nigeria toward heightened development.
The former Speaker, known by the traditional title of Walin Opanda in Umaisha Kingdom, emphasized that effective governance and sustainable development require collective effort, necessitating broad-based support for the President’s national development agenda.
“Noting the critical role of Nigerian leaders in championing the implementation of federal government initiatives, it is essential that they take proactive measures within their domains, while citizens are encouraged to bolster their support and prayers for governments at all levels to achieve success.”
“We’re on a familiarization visit to enhance our relationship and facilitate rapid development in the country. We must continue to work collaboratively to reinforce His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Balarabe explained that the goal is to ensure speedy development throughout the country.”
The Governing Council Chairman appeals for nationwide prayers and support to empower President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to achieve its objectives.
“This aims to allow His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sustain the provision of infrastructure and additional democratic advantages to the states.
Balarabe reaffirmed his resolve to utilize his vast experience for the advancement of the Polytechnic.
He appreciated the North East Development Commission’s key role in infrastructure development and delivery of social services, leading to his visit to seek collaborative support and interventions for Federal Polytechnic Damaturu.
Balarabe Abdullahi held discussions with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps at their Damaturu office, focusing on improving security measures to provide a more secure and supportive learning environment for the Polytechnic community.
He also commended the NSCDC for their efforts to promote peace and security in the Polytechnic and throughout the state.
Represented by Deputy Commandant Ahmed Tijjani Jume, Commandant Sanda Baba Grema assured of the Corps’ steadfast commitment to providing a secure environment for the institution.
Prof. Ali Abass, Coordinator of the North East Development Commission (NEDC), reaffirmed the Commission’s interest in the Polytechnic and pledged its continuous support to ensure the institution’s success.
