FRC Boss, Olowo Set to Launch Foundation June 17

The Executive Secretary, Chief Executive Officer (ES CEO), Financial Reporting Council, FRC, Dr Rabiu Onaolapo Olowo is to launch a foundation on Health ( Sickle Cell ), Education (Community Service) , “The Rabiu Olowo Foundation “to assist the indigent ones in the society on June 17.

The launch is to mark the special evening to celebrate his 40th Birthday of Dr Rabiu Olowo, holding on June , 14, will include its inaugural lecture and Fundraising Gala to mark the occasion.

The event is scheduled to hold at Transcorp Hilton , Maitama Abuja on June ,17th, at 6.00 pm, under the keynote speakers of Amb. Prof. Muhammadou M.O. Kah. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Gambia to Switzerland and Permanent Representative UNOG,WTO and other international organizations, Mr Tony Elumelu, CFR, Founder , Tony Elumelu Foundation, Chairman, Heirs Holdings and Dr Modupe Elebute-Odunsi MBBS, MD FRCPath, CEO/ Founder ,Marcelle Ruth Cancer Center & Specialist Hospital.

Dr Rabiu Onaolapo Olowo, a renowned accountant has a large resume and working experience both from the private and public sector spanned decades.

Olowo who was the immediate past Commissioner for Finance, Lagos state between 2019-2023 at 34, and was later appointed in December, 2024 as Executive Secretary, Chief Executive Officer( ES CEO), Financial Reporting Council, FRC at 38, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He will be 40 years by June , 14 , 2025.

A first class graduate of Accounting from Kogi State University, Anyigba, with Masters and PhD from the University of Lagos, variously.

Dr Rabiu Onaolapo Olowo is happily married with children.

His decision to float the foundation is to assist the critical ailment of sickle cell careers and advocate for genotype testing and examination before marriage, and also affect positively the education of the vulnerable ones through community service.
