Gov. Sule signs 2024 budget into law.

Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has signed the Twenty Twenty Four budget in law.
The exercise took place today Friday at the Government House Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
The Governor performed the task amidst the presence of the State Deputy Governor Dr Emmanuel Akabe, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, Principal Officers and Members of the State Assembly.
Also in attendance during the budget signing was the State Chief Judge, Justice Aisha Bashir and the Emir of Lafia Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad (Rtd) as well as the State Chairman of APC Alh. Aliyu Bello among other stakeholders.
Assenting to the twenty twenty four budget tagged budget of renewed commitment which stands at an estimated sum of over one hundred and ninety-nine billion naira, Governor Sule appreciated the Speaker and members of the assembly for ensuring due diligence in the execution of their duties.
While assuring to continue to implement the budget within the economic threshold, the Governor was quick to affirm that government will adhere strictly to the budgetary provision and urged the members of the state assembly to be committed in carrying out their oversight function, saying it helps towards addressing identified loopholes.
Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau reiterated the commitment of the state legislative arm in supporting the state government under Governor Abdullahi Sule to pursue his people’s oriented programmes.
Speaker Jatau emphasized that the budget has passed through all the necessary legislative procedures.
Earlier, State Commissioner of Finance, Munirah Abdullahi gave credit to the budget committee among others that have played greater role that led to the successful passage of the budget by state assembly.
