Gov. Sule tours Nasarawa Assembly Complex to inspect solar and security street lights

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has inspected the newly installed Solar and Security Street Lights at the premises of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

The Governor’s initiative to provide Alternative Power Supply to the State House of Assembly and enhance the working environment prompted the inspection for the State’s legislative arm.

Governor Sule, while inspecting the project today in Lafia, urged the assembly to assume full responsibility for the facilities by protecting them against vandalization.

He said that the project is a world Bank assisted project to boost power supply, security and visibility.

The Governor has assured of his administration’s commitment to continue to provide infrastructure and other initiative that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the State.

Responding, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, Speaker of the House, expressed gratitude to the Governor for facilitating the installation of street lights and pledged a harmonious working relationship at all times.

He pointed out that the solar and security lights are providing high-quality lighting that increases visibility, making it easier for people to see and move through the streets, highlighting that the alternative power will have a positive impact on the House’s activities.

The Speaker also assured of his administration’s continued determination to take ownership of the project by ensuring its proper maintenance to serve the House adequately.
