Hon Musa Abdulmalik, Caretaker Committee Chairman of Kogi local government area, said Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo has successfully addressed the skepticism of critics, often referred to as “doubting Thomases since assumption of office in less than one year

He said the Governor has achieved significant, implemented a successful policy, made a notable accomplishment in all sectors that has proven his detractors wrong.

He expressed his sincere gratitude to God, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Engineer Abubakar Mohammed Bashir Gegu, the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and natural resources, Stakeholders and entire Kogi local government populace for giving him all the necessary support to operate, saying he has has exceeded expectations and silenced critics.

He said in less than a year Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has proved doubting Thomas wrong that he became for the betterment Kogi State.

Hon Abdulmalik assured Kogi LG residents of his determination and commitment to continue to provide leadership in areas of good governance, security, education, agriculture, health care and human capital development among others.

The Kogi LG CTC who is now the frontline All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for the slated October 19 councils election, said he was overhemed over the recent endorsement by the Zone C people calling on him to run for the office of Kogi local government chairmanship.

The Caretaker Committee Chairman spoke with some selected newsmen shortly after attending to Kogi State All Progressives Congress, APC, expanded stakeholders meeting held at the State party secretariat Lokoja, on Tuesday, the state capital, commended Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo for providing him with a platform to contribute his quota to the development of Kogi LG, State and country at large.

Speaking on his plans for Kogi LG if elected as Executive Chairman, Abdulamlik said he would work closely with the critical stakeholders, opinion moulders and traditional rulers as part of concerted efforts to carry every body along in scheme of things.

He noted that security top his priority and vowed to sustain the fight against bad elements who may want to test the will of his adminstration.

“God has been my guidance throughout the six months I’ve spent in office, no challenges at all, everything went smoothly. I am looking forward to another fruitful term in the future if God spare our life to witness it.” The Kogi LG CTC stated.

It would be recalled that State Independent Electoral Commission, SIEC, had fixed October 19 for LG elections in Kogi State.

Our correspondent also reported that Kogi LG APC stakeholders met on Sunday in Gegu Beki, Zone C, where they unanimously endorsed the chairmanship to Zone C in an efforts to sustain democracy, fairness, justice and equity in Kogi LG
