Insecurity: Hon Giwa Palasa charges security agents to fish out those bandits who attack Katakpa community

The recent killing of people and wanton destruction of properties worth millions of naira at Katakpa community remains condemned and perpetrators will no go unpunished, the councilor representing Dausu ward at the Toto local government legislative arm, Hon Samuel Hulegi Giwa Palasa advocated.

Hon Giwa Palasa, the former councillors forum leader representing the 19 northern states, expressed deep concerned over repeated killing, adding that the sad development came at a time the two tribes; Egbiras and Bassas were meeting to fashioned out modalities that would lead to amicable resolution of their many years differences.

There has been reports of attack on Katakpa community allegedly carried out by gunmen who killed 4 persons and razed down houses, destroyed food and others items.

Our correspondent report that that attack came twice on the business nerve center of Toto LG causing panic on the people residing in the area.

Reacting to the sad development, Hon Palasa identified with the Egbira community and most particularly the people of Katakpa over the incident, praying God to grant those who passed a way paradise and exposed those faces behind the attack.

 

The Dausu councilor who is of the Bassa extraction said there is no need to take arms against each other that the 21st century is about creativity and development.

He commended Governor Abdullahi Sule and Chairman of Toto LG for their proactive steps taken to stem future re-occurrence.
