KOBA mourns ex-military administrator, Col. M. Mana, condoles National President, Keffi Emir, family

The Keffi Old Boys Association (KOBA), Nasarawa State Chapter has expressed deep shock over the death of one of its senior members and former Military Governor of Plateau State, Col. Mohammed Mana.

The State President of KOBA, Arch. Umar Shitu, described Col. Mana’s demise as very shocking and colossal.

The statement included condolences to the family of the deceased and to the National President of KOBA, Alhaji M. B Lawan, who is also from Adamawa State, the same state as Col. Mohammed Mana.

The statement also quotes Arch Shitu who is the National Secretary of KOBA as saying that the Nasarawa State Chapter of the Association also condoled with its Grand Patron and inlaw of the deceased, the Emir of Keffi HRH Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa the Third over the painful exit.

While eulogizing the deceased good virtues and outstanding contributions to humanity in general and KOBA in particular prayed God to reward his good deeds with paradise.

He enjoined all to see his death as the will of God and continue to pray for him.

Col. Mohammed Mana died in the early hours of yesterday Saturday, 23rd August, 2025 in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Col. Mohammed Mana passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 74.

He was a former Military Administrator of Plateau State from December 1993 to August 1996 during the regime of General Sani Abacha.

He later served as a Senator representing Adamawa North on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) platform. Col. Mana was highly respected, and his death has elicited tributes from prominent Nigerians, including governors of both Adamawa and Plateau states.
