Kogi councils poll: Koton-Karfe Southeast APC Stakeholders zoned councilorship to Kasemiya PU

Kogi local government All Progressives Congress, APC, leadership and stakeholders particularly from Koton-Karfe South East electoral ward met and unanimously zoned it’s councilorship position to Kasemiya polling unit in the area.
This, the stakeholders said the collective and majority decisions of zone B leadership was part concerted efforts to sustain the existing zoning arrangement in Kogi LGA
Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa (Osuku), the Executive Chairman Kogi State Civil Service Commission, disclosed shortly after the stakeholders meeting held at his Lokoja residence, Wednesday, 24 July 2024, noted APC in Kogi LG will continue to maintain it’s zoning arrangement in order to ensure fairness, equity and ease of administration.
“Koton-karfe South East Stakeholders met and Zoned Councillorship position to Kasemiya polling Unit.” The stakeholders said.
Some critical stakeholders who attended the meeting include: Former Kogi State House of Assembly member representing Kogi/Koton-karfe constituency, Hon (Barr) Tanko Abdulrahman Ndako (Ozi), Special Adviser on Emergency to Kogi State Governor, Hon Mohammed Shuaib (Asio) and Kogi LG Chairman of APC, Hon Ibrahim Onah among others
Our correspondent report that the Kogi State Independent National electoral commission, KOSIEC, had fixed October 19 for the conduct of local government elections in the State.

Part of its preparation towards slated election, APC leadership in Kogi LG also met last week Sunday in Gegu Beki, headquarters of zone C, whereas it’s zone the chairmanship position to Zone C.
Thereafter, the Zone C leadership of APC quickly convened for a stakeholders meeting to back existing subzoning arrangement, where the incumbent Caretaker Committee Chairman, Hon Musa Abdulmalik was endorsed to run for the chairmanship.
The resolutions was announced by the State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Abubakar Mohammed Bashir Gegu on Monday evening.
