…As Pension Commission Announces Pensioners Verification Exercise
The Kogi State Pension Commission has scheduled the Pensioners Verification Exercise to commence from Tuesday, 1st July 2025 through to Tuesday, 15th July 2025 across the state.
Engr. Elder Clement Ohida, the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), has urged all retirees in Kogi State to embrace and actively participate in this important exercise.
Elder Ohida emphasized that the verification process is designed to ensure that pensioners receive their rightful benefits promptly and without disruption.
The all important exercise tagged, ”’Iam Alive ” is targeted towards ascertaining all eligible Pensioners on the payroll of State are captured.
Speaking in an interview with Newsmen in Lokoja ahead of the exercise, Kogi State chairman of the Union,Engr.Clement Ohida, explained that the verification exercise to be carried out by the state government is design in a seamless way considering the age and health condition of Pensioners.
According to him, retirees are expected to visit any bank closer to them with their bank verification number [BVN] , added that it is not compulsory to visit bank or travel from their locations within the state.
Engr.Ohida, advised pensioners that no money should be paid to anybody during the exercise saying that it is only meant for bio-metric data capturing
While the commission will provide an email portal to enable Pensioners to send in their traveling documents,data page,visa page stamped , arrival, phone numbers, location , address for pensioners that are presently out of the country.
