Kogi NUT Chair congratulates Ododo and Oyibo on their one year in office
Comrade Yakubu Dauda, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers in Kogi State, congratulates the Chief Servant, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, his deputy, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, and the people of Kogi State on the occasion of their first anniversary in office on behalf of the State Working Committee and public primary school teachers.
In his goodwill message disseminated to media houses in Lokoja, Comrade Yakubu Dauda hailed Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as a heaven-sent leader, delivering the working class and citizens from suffering and destitution through his multifaceted proactive efforts initiated since assuming the reins of leadership in the swiftly developing confluence state.
The Kogi state chairman of Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, observed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s official visit to Kogi state to inaugurate governmental projects within a year is a clear indication of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s readiness to initiate socioeconomic growth and development throughout the state.
Comrade Yakubu Dauda voiced his satisfaction and heartfelt thanks to the governor for the restoration of the full salary to public primary school teachers and the comprehensive implementation of the Seventy-two thousand five hundred naira policy for all categories of workers in the state, characterizing it as a pro-peoples agenda.
He acknowledged the sincerity and concerted effort of the present administration in the equitable distribution of appointments and social amenities to the three senatorial districts of the state asserted that the governor by so doing has carve an inch for himself and his name will be found in the Guinness book of record.
Comrade Yakubu Dauda, used the occasion of the first anniversary of the governor to ask for the recruitment of new primary school teachers to fill the vacuum created has a result of massive retirement of Teachers from service regretted that the ugly situation if not given first line charges will truncate the quality delivery of education to the elementary level of learning which is the foundation
He reiterated the readiness of the public primary school teachers in the twenty one local government areas to give their unwavering support and solidarity to Ododo led administration to enable him put the Kogi state on the pedestal of balance and sustainable development.
Comrade Yakubu Dauda, advised the citizenry to bury their hatchets and close rank with Ododo led government to enable him fast-track the speedy growth and development of the state saying that this can only be achieve when the citizens co-habit peacefully with one another.
