Kogi NUT Tasks On significance Of Easter celebration.

Kogi State wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers has saluted the state governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo Ahmed , Primary school teachers and the people on this suspicious occasion of Easter celebration which commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In a statement of felicitation which was made available to Journalists in Lokoja, Saturday, the state chairman of the Union, Comrade Dauda Yahaya noted that the trial, Crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave rekindled hope,life, assurance and joy to world

Comrade Dauda observed that the season was a wake up call to the citizens that the current spate of uncertainty ranging from insecurity, economic downturn, hunger and other nadir of challenges facing humanity will soon unfold a season of triumph of good over evil, hope over hopelessly and light over darkness.

Comrade Dauda however urged Christians and non Christians alike to emulate the virtues of love, forgiveness, sacrifice, good neighborhood as characterised by the life of Jesus Christ.

The State chairman Nigeria Union of Teachers [NUT] used the occasion to admonished those
saddled with the responsibility of leadership at all levels to embark on viable policies and programmes that will reduce the untold hardship being experience by the citizens owing to the removal of fuel subsidy.

“While Jesus Christ was living on earth ,He showed love to the people around him,he humble himself,showed forgiveness, and other great virtues that endeared him to Christians and non Christians alike.Those virtues should not be rhetorics but everyone’s culture for better living.
