On the occasion of Nigeria’s 64th independence anniversary, the Kogi State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria has joined the nation in celebration, urging leaders to intensify efforts to address insecurity and provide governance that directly benefits the populace.
Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale, Chairman of Kogi State’s National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, declared in a Monday statement that celebrating the nation’s 64-year journey is essential, considering its numerous achievements, and called upon citizens to exhibit patriotism and cooperation with government institutions.
The Youth leader utilized the occasion to appreciate Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his charitable and thoughtful gestures towards the youth population in the State
Comrade Ojodale emphasized that Kogi youth should consider themselves privileged to live under the All Progressives Congress, APC, administration, which has made youth development a key priority.
Ojodale urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reassess his administration’s economic strategy, emphasizing that Nigerians face daily hardships.
The Kogi NYCN, while elaborating on the federal government’s economic policy, respectfully appealed to President Tinubu, as the nation’s leader, to urgently reduce the price of Premium Motor Spirit in the public interest, enabling Nigerians to navigate the present economic reality.
He applauded Nigerian youths for their patience, solidarity, and resilience, and gave assurance that their prospects will soon brighten.
Marking Nigeria’s 64th independence anniversary, he congratulated Nigerians, praying that God guides the nation’s leaders to prioritize the welfare and progress of Nigerians and the country.
