…Joins Niger NYCN delegation on visit to Mokwa LG Chairman
….Acknowledges Kogi HYPPADEC’s efforts in environmental and social responsibility

The Kogi State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), led by Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale, is interested in collaborating with the National Examinations Council (NECO) headquarters in Minna, Niger State, to explore potential areas of partnership, especially in employment opportunities for the youth in Kogi.
Benjamin Ojodale, on behalf of Kogi youths, consulted with the NECO Finance Director to identify potential solutions and resources within NECO to combat the pressing challenge of youth unemployment.
The proposed areas of collaboration comprise: Internship programs, where NECO can offer internship opportunities to young people, providing them with valuable work experience and skills; Job placements, where NECO can consider hiring young individuals for various roles, contributing to the reduction of unemployment rates in the country; and Capacity building, where NECO can collaborate with NYCN to develop training programs, enhancing the skills and employability of young Nigerians.
Other areas discussed include, Mentorship initiatives: NECO can establish mentorship programs, pairing experienced professionals with young people to guide and support their career development.
Kogi NYCN Chairman spoke after his visit to the NECO headquarters Minna, Niger State, where he disclosed that partnering with NECO, the NYCN hopes to create a positive impact on the lives of young Nigerians particularly Kogites, empowering them to become productive members of society.
According to him, the collaboration has the potential to yield mutually beneficial outcomes, as NECO can tap into the energy, creativity, and innovation of young people, while NYCN can provide support and resources to enhance NECO’s operations.
While in Minna for an official engagement, Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale alongside other NYCN stakeholders visited the Executive chairman of Mokwa local government area of Niger State.
In another development, Kogi NYCN headed by its Chairman, Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale led it’s members to office of the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission, HYPPADEC.
HYPPADEC is Nigerian government agency responsible for managing the environmental and social impacts of hydroelectric power projects in the country.
The NYCN helmsman praised HYPPADEC for it’s vowed commitment for nvironmental protection, Mitigating the environmental effects of hydroelectric power projects, Community development by Improving the living conditions of communities affected by these projects.
Speaking further Benjamin Ojodale noted that HYPPADEC in Kogi State has supported socio-economic development and Enhancing the socio-economic well-being of people in the surrounding areas.
According to him, HYPPADEC is
addressing the social and environmental aspects of hydroelectric power projects, HYPPADEC aims to promote sustainable development and improve the lives of Kogites and Nigerians.
