Hon. Atnadu Sunday Yakubu, All Progressives Congress, APC, Vice Chairmanship candidate for Toto Local Government in Nasarawa State’s ongoing council elections, commended the impressive voter turnout across Toto LG’s three districts, stating that the show of love and solidarity indicates the people’s confidence in the new government.
Sunday Yakubu, who recently served as Personal Assistant to Toto LG’s Executive Chairman, spoke with journalists after voting at his polling unit in Araba, Garagwa ward, Gadabuke district, Toto LG on Saturday
The APC Vice Chairmanship candidate revealed that today’s election held significant importance, prompting the people of Toto LG to set aside their business activities and participate in their civic duty, for which they expressed appreciation.
He made a pledge to provide unwavering support and loyalty to his boss and the APC upon election, while also welcoming those sitting on the fence to join the party and share in the benefits of democratic governance at all levels.
The former personal assistant acknowledged God’s guidance, confident that the incoming government would fulfill its promises to Toto LG’s people, and encouraged support for their electoral success.
The local government elections in Nasarawa State were conducted statewide across the 13 LGAs on Saturday, and results are presently being compiled by NASIEC, with an immediate announcement scheduled to follow upon completion of the collation process.
The ongoing election in Nasarawa State has been notable for its tranquility, with no reported cases of violence, earning Governor Abdullahi Sule commendation for a free, fair, and credible electoral process.
