Dr. Musa Muhammed Maikaya, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governorship aspirant in Nasarawa State, has commended the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC) for conducting peaceful local government elections.

In a post-election interview with correspondents after voting at Toto North Primary School polling unit in Toto town, Maikaya, holder of chieftaincy titles Ciroman Toto and Kuyanbana of Umaisha Kingdom, made this statement and praised Governor Abdullahi Sule for the exercise’s successful conduct.

Maikaya noted: “Nasarawa state has witnessed its most credible election yet, courtesy of the APC’s visionary leadership and the Governor’s strategic logistical provisions, rendering the state a shining example of electoral excellence nationwide; a laudable recent development in Toto.”

Maikaya, President of Toto Development Association and CEO of Maikaya Development Foundation, noted that Toto’s enhanced unity resulted in a significant voter turnout in support of Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya, expressing optimism that the new chairman will utilize his expertise to foster local government growth.

“Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya, a native of Toto, effectively led the area’s administration before serving as health commissioner, diligently advancing the community’s growth and development in alignment with Governor Abdullahi Sule’s strategic vision, fulfilling the LG’s long-standing aspirations.”

In a recent interview, Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya, the newly elected Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Council, emphasized that security will be a top priority for his administration, striving to stimulate development within the local government.

The Chairman, after casting his ballot at Iganki Sarki 2 polling unit during the recent local government elections, stressed that maintaining security and unity among Toto’s residents remains his top priority, commending security agencies for their professionalism and encouraging them to uphold this standard.
