Nasarawa ADC establishes steering committees, affirms party’s readiness to assume leadership in 2027

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Nasarawa State has officially unveiled its State Steering Committee.

The committee is led by former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Chief John Mike Abdul, who serves as the interim chairman of the party in the State.

The announcement took place at an ADC Stakeholders meeting held at Otunsha Hotel in Keffi. The Secretary of the Committee is Alhaji Jibril Sabo Keana (JSK).

Chief John Mike Abdul, who defected from the PDP, was appointed by the national leadership of ADC, headed by former Senate President David Mark.

The unveiling of this committee represents a strategic effort to solidify ADC’s presence and influence in Nasarawa State as the party prepares for future electoral contests, including the 2027 general elections.

The stakeholders in Nasarawa State, including the committee members named at the meeting, are united in the aim to build the ADC into a formidable political force through unity, grassroots mobilization, and fairness.

The former deputy governor called for patience and unity among prospective members, indicating plans for expanded consultations and meetings at various levels across the state soon.

Notable individuals named to the committee and involved in the meeting include former PDP chieftain Jibril Sabo Keana as Secretary and several other prominent figures from both PDP and APC backgrounds who have joined ADC in Nasarawa.

In a statement issued by the ADC Media led Idris Ojoko revealed that the Committee members inaugurated as follows:

Inaugurating the Committees, the State Coordinator, His Excellency, Chief John Mike Abdul tasks the members of the Committees to be fair, just and all-inclusive in carrying out their assignments. The Chairman also mandated the Committees to report back within one week in constituting the Ward Steering Committee which is expected to have ten (10) members, that’s seven (7) men and three (3) women respectfully.

The ADC members from all 13 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Nasarawa State have collectively pledged to mobilize new members aggressively to secure victory in all elective positions in the 2027 elections.

Their goal is to establish a new government representing the people of Nasarawa State and Nigeria as a whole.
