Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, member representing Lafia Central constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, reaffirms his commitment to delivering essential democratic benefits to his constituents, thereby enhancing their quality of life.
The lawmaker stressed that citizens should cast their ballots exclusively for leaders guided by a strong sense of morality, who prioritize the welfare of the people and strive for the country’s overall progress.
Hon. Akwashiki, Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts (SDP Lafia Central), assured that he would address the persistent power outage in the area while hosting the Workers Village Women Association, Lafia.
He reiterated his pledge to prioritize the progress of his constituency and the State’s overall well-being.
” I am committed to serve the people of my constituency and the State at large.
” I have done my best towards bettering the standard of living of the people of Lafia Central Constituency.
” I have empowered over 500 women, sunk boreholes, gave scholarships, employment, registered students for JAMB among others” he said.
He said that he has sponsored motions and supported bills towards the development of the State.
Hon. Akwashiki said that hunger did not know religion or tribe, hence the need for Nigerians to shun religious and ethnic politics.
The lawmaker said that he has sponsored motion on electricity at the floor which led to improve electricity in the State and promised to intervene on the electricity challenges facing the people of Workers Village Lafia.
Besides, he also called on the women and other people of the constituency to continue to pray for him and Gov.Abdullahi Sule to succeed.
” Pray for me as prayers is key to the development of individual and the society at large.
Hon. Akwashiki said that he would answer calls for him to contest for House of Representatives seat for Lafia/Obi Federal constituency for 2027 at an appropriate time.
The lawmaker pledged to look into the issue of the spoiled transformers as requested by the women.
The assemblyman called on the people of the state to continue to support Gov. Sule to succeed at all times.
Earlier, Mrs Zainab Wada, the Leader of Workers Village Women Association said that the visit was to appreciate the lawmaker over his purposeful leadership in the House
Mrs Wada assured the lawmaker of their loyalty and support at all times.
The leader of the delegation, however enumerated lack of electricity and spoiled transformers, roads among others as some of the challenges facing the residents of Workers Village Lafia.
