Nasarawa Speaker calls on parents to nurture children with societal norms, values, education
Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau has challenged parents and guardians to nurture their wards according to societal norms and value through the teachings of the scriptures.
This, the Speaker advocated for better education for children as a lasting legacy and an avenue to build egalitarian society for all.
The Speaker gave the advice at the naming ceremony of the daughter to the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Gov. Abdullahi Sule on Environment and Natural Resources who is the former Speaker Lafia Local Government Legislative Arm Rt. Hon. Uba Arikya today in Lafia the Nasarawa State Capital.
Speaker Jatau who led former and serving lawmakers to grace the occasion and identify with the former Speaker, Lafia Legislative arm as he celebrate the new baby girl named Sa’adatu wished her a blessed life.
He called on the parents to prioritize her upbring, most specially bequeathing on her western and religion knowledge which he said are the basic requisites of nurturing a productive child.
” I want to congratulate Hon Uba Arikiya on the successful ceremony of his new born baby, Sa’adatu.
” I want to call on all parents to ensure proper upbringing of their children in a Godly way.
” And to also prioritize education of their children for the overall development of the society.
Jatau prayed God to guide, protect and bless the new born.
The Speaker used the medium to challenged parents and guardians to nurture their wards according to societal norms and values vis-a-vis the teachings of the scriptures so as to make them meaningful citizens.
The State Number Three Citizen used the medium to drum support for Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
He said that Gov. Sule is making the people of the State proud by initiating good policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the citizens and deserves full support of all.
