…..Urges Eggon youths, other citizens to support Governor Sule’s administration for its success
Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has received the prestigious award for Most Outstanding Speaker in the History of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, recognizing his exceptional leadership qualities.
Speaker Jatau received the award from the Eggon Youth Movement (EYM) Keffi branch today, Sunday, at the inaugural launch of the Maiden Magazine and the N50 million fundraising initiative for the Entrepreneur Community School.
While presenting the award on behalf of EYM Keffi branch, Prof. Solomon Mangba Aza of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, noted that the award acknowledges the Speaker’s exceptional leadership in fostering unity, peace, and understanding within the House.
Prof. Solomon advised the Speaker to continue serving as an exemplary ambassador through ensuring the active involvement of all members.
He emphasized the need to enact laws and resolutions that promote economic prosperity and development throughout the state
Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, responded with appreciation to the Eggon Youth Movement for the award and assured them of his unwavering support.
“This recognition will motivate me to strive for greater accomplishments, and I appreciate your attention to our work in the House as well as your thoughtful assessment.”
The Speaker vowed to uphold the legislative agenda, focusing on laws and resolutions that would significantly enhance the well-being of the state’s residents.
At the launch of the Magazine and the Entrepreneur Community School, the Speaker praised the Eggon Youth Movement’s vision, noting that this initiative will significantly enhance skills acquisition among youth and fostering self-reliance.
“This initiative will mitigate unemployment levels, minimize dependence on government support, and foster skills development for self-sufficiency.” he said.
He appealed to the Eggon ethnic group in the state to work harmoniously with other ethnic groups to enhance unity and attract more development projects for the state’s betterment.
“Achieving significant development necessitates cooperation. Eggon cannot succeed alone; we need alliances with other ethnic groups.” he said.
He urged the leadership of EYM Keffi to persist in ensuring that the proper course of action is taken to facilitate the project’s realization.
He added that the project, once completed, would serve not only the Eggons but all of humanity.
Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada (SDP-Nasarawa West), Chairman of the occasion, represented by Theophilus Ego, acknowledged the Eggon people’s peaceful and diligent reputation, advised them to maintain positive ties with other ethnic groups.
He committed to sponsoring the project for the welfare of future generations.
Danjuma Benjamin, Chairman of Eggon Youth Movement Keffi, welcomed the Speaker and other distinguished guests, noting that the initiative is a key leadership project designed to foster youth development and empowerment for a better future.
He stated that the magazine encompasses the historical account of EYM and the Eggon people, as well as projections for their future.
Danjuma reaffirmed the steadfast resolve of his people to cooperate with the government towards achieving peaceful coexistence and socioeconomic progress in the state.
It has been stated that Dr. Vincent Poul of Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) presented a call to action, requesting government, high-net-worth individuals, organizations, and groups to provide essential backing for the initiative’s accomplishment.
Hon. John Ovey, Member representing Keffi East Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, was among the esteemed guests at the event.
