…As party celebrates one year in office of its chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, Secretary, Yairus Dagusa
Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has urged stakeholders and members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State to embrace unity, peace and forgiveness for the success of the party beyond 2027.
This, the Nasarawa State Number Three Citizen tasked the leadership of the party to escalates its reconciliation mechanism to return all aggrieved members of the party ahead of future elections.
The Speaker made the call during one year anniversary of Dr. Aliyu Bello, the State APC Chairman and Mr Yarus Dagusa, the Secretary of the party today in Lafia.
The Speaker said if stakeholders and members of the party remain united, it would go a long way in giving the party continuous victory beyond 2027.
The Speaker commended the Chairman of the party for uniting members of the party in the state.
” We thank God that today we are celebrating our capable and able Chairman’s one year in office.
” We will continue to support you and the APC leadership to succeed in the state” he said.
The Speaker appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his efforts in developing the state.
” We will continue to appreciate His Excellency’s efforts in the State. Gov. Sule is a God-sent to the state.
” And because of what His Excellency is doing and what you are also doing, people have been defecting and returning to the our great party.
” We have catched one of the biggest fish, Hon Mohammed Garba Isimbabi, who left NNPP to APC” He said.
The Speaker assured the party of the lawmakers support to enable the party succeed and move to the greater height.
Besides, Speaker Jatau officially presented to the party Hon. Mohammed Garba Isimbabi, member representing Toto/ Gadabuke constituency, who recently defected from NNPP to APC in the state.
In a keynote Speech, Dr Shuaibu Labaran Magaji, the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice said that Hon. Bello has contributed immensely to the development of the party and the society at large.
” The Chairman of Our great party, APC in the state , Dr Aliyu Bello has established Aliyu Bello Education Foundation to give scholarship to less privileged children to have access to education.
” He has done so much for the progress of our party, APC and the society at large” he said.
The Commissioner for Justice said that Bello has foster unity among members of the party in the state.
In their goodwill messages, Dr Musa Ahmed Mohammed, the State Accountant General, Hon. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim (APC- Nasarawa Central) Hon. John Mamman, Commissioner for Education,
Hon. Mohammed Yakubu, APC Chairman of Keffi LGA, Arc. Ahmed Sarkin Usman, Chairman of Doma Local Government Area, Hon. Tanko Tunga, former Majority Leader of the state legislature, Dr Zainab Ahmed, former SSG, all commended Hon. Bello for his purposeful leadership in the state.
They also prayed for the success of the party beyond 2027.
They assured the party Chairman of their loyalty and support at all times.
On his part, Dr Aliyu Bello, the State Chairman of the party said that in the last one year in office, he has united the members of the party for the progress of the party beyond 2027 in the state.
” Today the party is more united and stronger as almost all aggrieved members of the party during the primary election have returned to the party.
” His Excellency, Sen. Solomon Ewuga, Hon. Mohammed Garba Isimbabi among others have defected and returned to the party” he said.
He said that he has initiated empowerment programme and other programmes that would boost the party and improve on the standard of living of the people of the state.
The Chairman appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau and other stakeholders for supporting the leadership of the party in the state.
He also urged stakeholders of the party to continue to support the party to succeed in the state.
The State APC Chairman, while receiving Hon. Mohammed Garba Isimbabi, member representing Toto/ Gadabuke constituency, who recently defected from NNPP to APC, assured him of all rights and privileges in the Party’s affairs in the state and beyond.
Earlier, Mr Yairus Dagusa, the State APC Secretary said that the event was organized in order to celebrate one year in office of Dr Aliyu Bello, the State APC Chairman and himself.
He said that the one year anniversary was eventful and progressive as Hon. Bello has united the party leadership and other members of the party in the state.
The Secretary of the party appreciated the Speaker and other dignitaries for attending the occasion
