Nat’l Association of Delta State Students fumes over non payment of 2023 Bursary, calls for a peaceful protest
The National Association of Delta State Students (NADESSTU Worldwide) is currently mobilizing it’s members across all institutions for plan peaceful protest to press home their demands over non payment of 2023 bursary allowances by the Delta State government.

INVITATION TO A PEACEFUL PROTEST OVER THE NON PAYMENT OF THE 2023 BURSARY FOR DELTA STATE STUDENTS
We bring greetings of Aluta and solidarity from the apex body governing all students from the Delta State origin both home and in diaspora. We write to invite you to join us in a peaceful protest against the non-payment of the 2023 bursary by the state government. The objective of this protest is to bring attention to the issue and urge the government to fulfill its commitment to the students by disbursing the payments without further delay.
Date: Tuesday 30th January 2023
Time: 7AM Prompt
Location: Summit Junction, Asaba
As a student, you are directly affected by the non-payment of bursary, and your participation in this protest is crucial. We believe that together, as a united group, we can make a strong statement and demand the attention of the government. This is an opportunity to voice our concerns, raise awareness about the plight of students, and advocate for our collective interest.
Please note that this protest will be conducted in a peaceful, orderly, and law-abiding manner. We will strictly adhere to all legal requirements and ensure that the protest does not disrupt public order or hinder the everyday activities of others. Our primary focus is to bring attention to the issue and make our voices heard through peaceful means.
We have taken all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of all participants. We have notified the commissioner of police, Director of the Department of State Services(DSS) and other relevant authorities and requested the presence of security personnel throughout the protest to maintain order and protect the participants.We have Consulted, consolidated enough and as such it’s high time we use the last C of Aluta which is confrontation. This is our last hope This,We therefore Request all our chapter presidents, their executive council and members to make themselves available for this important task . There will be a roll call, chapters not represented would be considered enemies to the growth and development of our dear Association.
