Okpe Kingdom Congratulates Okpebholo on Supreme Court Victory

The people of Okpe Kingdom in Akoko-Edo, Edo State, has congratulated the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, as well as his deputy, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, on their Supreme Court Victory. In a congratulatory message personally signed on Friday by the Olokpe of Okpe Kingdom, HRH. Oba Okhishimede Eshimokhai Idogun III(JP) OON, on behalf of the people of the kingdom said the verdict is a confirmation of the will of the Edo State people.

According to the Olokpe of Okpe in the message made available to journalists in Benin City said, “What the Supreme Court has done is simply the confirmation of the will of the Edo State people who voted for Senator Monday Okpebholo. It shows the election was free and fair as the Tribunal and Appeal Court has also ruled.

“Now that the legal distractions have been dealt with, the way has been widely paved for the governor to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of the state. In the past seven months, the governor has been exceptional and we are expecting more now that the case has finally been put to rest by the apex court.

“On behalf of myself and the entire people of Okpe Kingdom, I share the warmest congratulations to you and the joyous people of our dear state on this expected victory. We from Okpe look forward to a very robust collaborative relationship with your administration in all aspects; from infrastructural development, education, security, employment to healthcare delivery.”
