Olamaboro LG: Williams lauds Ododo’s achievements, donates generously to support party
Hon. (Comrade) Ameh Williams, the Executive Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government Area in Kogi State, has expressed pride in the achievements of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration.
He commended the governor for his leadership, which have led to significant development and progress within the state.
Williams stressed that the present administration’s efforts have positively impacted the local community, particularly in areas such as security, health, empowerment, and infrastructure development.
Williams has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), both domestically and internationally, to actively support the reelection campaign of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and his Deputy, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo.
He emphasized that their first year in office has been marked by remarkable achievements, which warrant continued backing from party members to ensure their success in the upcoming elections.
The young politician addressed stakeholders and leaders of the APC on Monday, with the goal of supporting Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo ahead of 2027, and made a commitment to donate 10% of their monthly salaries to the people, while encouraging appointees to sustain support for local government party executives to excel.
The Olamaboro council chairman commended Governor Ododo for exceeding his eight-year targets within one year in office, highlighting the governor’s achievements in the areas of prompt payment of workers’ salaries, security, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructural development and education amongst others
According to him, the meeting aimed to bring party members together to make amends, unite and promote progress through mutual agreement, and to acknowledge their support during the local government council elections.
Comrade Williams expressed his gratitude to all attendees for their substantial presence despite the brief notice period, noting that it demonstrates the people’s commitment to the APC party and the leadership of Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. He assured that all issues addressed would be properly channelled to the relevant authorities for due consideration and prompt action.
Dr. Joseph Ameh Erico, a prominent APC chieftain, emphasized the importance of unity and addressing individual grievances to restore the party’s damaged relationships.
He noted that each person present had made a contribution to the party’s victory and should not let a small group of individuals deprive them of the chance to reap the benefits of their labor.
While urging them to focus on strengthening party unity, addressing local concerns, and strategizing for future elections, this gesture probably stems from the governor’s efforts to support local governments in Kogi State, promoting development and growth.
Erico, a celebrated business icon, stressed that effective collaboration between local government officials and stakeholders can facilitate more inclusive decision-making processes and stronger representation of community interests.
During the meeting, representatives from the 10 Wards in Olamaboro LGA, along with stakeholders, outlined the challenges facing their various Wards and residents, and also expressed their dissatisfaction and complaints, seeking amicable resolutions.
Global Times Nigeria reports that prominent APC leaders attending the meeting included, Kogi State APC Secretary Hon.
