Olamaboro LGC Chair Ameh Williams Inspects Lawmaker Alewo’s Ongoing Project
In a concerted effort to revitalize healthcare infrastructure, Honourable Alewo Anthony Ujah, the Member representing Olamaboro Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, has commenced the reconstruction of the Cottage Hospital located in Ogugu, Olamaboro Local Government Area.
During an inspection of the ongoing project, Honourable Ujah reiterated his unwavering commitment to improving the lives of his constituents.
He emphasized that access to quality healthcare is not a luxury but a fundamental necessity.
“Health is wealth,” he passionately noted, highlighting the urgent need for functional and well-equipped health facilities throughout the local government area.
This initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing healthcare delivery and ensuring that residents of Olamaboro have access to essential medical services.
The Ogugu Cottage Hospital had suffered dilapidation, severely hampering medical services and posing significant risks to residents. Honourable Ujah stated that the ongoing reconstruction aligns with the efforts of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo , who has prioritized healthcare as a key pillar of his administration. Ujah added that leadership is humanity, and as such, he is committed to ensuring that every health facility in poor condition within Olamaboro becomes fully operational once again.
According to the project engineer, approximately ₦12 million has been spent so far, with all required resources fully provided, guaranteeing timely completion. Executive Chairman of Olamaboro, Comr Ameh Williams , who joined the inspection, praised Ujah’s initiative, describing the transformation of the hospital as remarkable. He also commended Governor Ododo’s statewide health initiatives and lauded Ujah for complementing the government’s vision.
The Inspection concluded with a vote of thanks by Honourable Isah Emmanuel Ojodunwene, the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Student Affairs, who encouraged the people of Olamaboro to continue supporting their leaders in building a better community. Also present were key political figures including Honourable Okpanachi Philip Black, Honourable Samuel Idenyi, Honourable Emmanuel Audu, and Honourable Odegri Abdulazeez, all affirming their support for the health sector revitalization.
