The Member Representing Omala State Constituency, Hon. Umar Yahaya (Connect), has presented two Bills at the Hallow Chamber of the Kogi State House of Assembly to improve the health of the people of the Area.
The Bills presented include; “A Bill for a Law to Provide for Free Maternal and Neonatal Healthcare Services for Pregnant Women and Newborn Child in State Owned health facilities in Kogi State and for Other Matters Connected Therewith, 2025” and “A Bill for a Law to Provide for the Prevention and Control of Public Littering, the Defacement of Public and Private Places, and for Other Related Matters, 2025”.

The Omala Lawmaker said he presented the above Bills for the Consideration of the House due to its importance and benefit to mothers, sisters and newborns in Omala Local Government Area and the State at large.
He pointed out that the Bills if considered, will provide free and quality healthcare services to pregnant women and newborn babies in the State owned health facilities across the 21 LGAs of Kogi State; and as well, prevent Public Littering respectively.

The Lawmaker added that the need to keep the environment clean cannot be overemphasized, hence the need to come with a law to prevent the people from littering both public and Private places across the State.
The Bills, which is just few out other Bills sponsored by the Omala Assembly Member, will no doubt, contribute to the progress of the State in all ramification if considered by the House.
