One year anniversary: Ex-Nasarawa Speaker Balarabe applauds Gov Ododo’s performance

The Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, who is also the leader of new direction, has continued to receive praise from various stakeholders for his administration’s development achievements in areas such as infrastructure, education, security, and human capital development. His commitment to the welfare and well-being of the people of Kogi State has been acknowledged, and his vision for a prosperous and secure future for the state has been recognized as a model for sustainable development.
A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) and immediate former Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has acknowledged the outstanding performance of Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, within one year in office, citing his numerous achievements in various sectors, and urged him to sustain the spirit, ensuring the continuation of his good work.
Balarabe expressed his gratitude to the Governor for prioritizing youths development in the State, recognizing the importance of investing in the younger generation, and also acknowledged the Governor’s other developmental initiatives that are bringing about significant improvements in the State.
In a meeting held today at his Lafia residence, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the current Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State, received Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale, the Chairman of the Kogi State National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, with whom he shared insights and perspectives on how to enhance youth participation in national development and decision-making processes.
Balarabe Abdullahi praised the impressive performance of Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo over the past year, noting that he has implemented various initiatives and policies that have brought significant benefits to the state and its residents, and urged him to maintain the momentum and build on his accomplishments.
“Let me be very frank to you and quote me any where, Kogi Governor started on a good note, he is doing very well for his people so far and if he sustain it, believe me his second term will be easy for him, I salute his efforts so far” he said.
Balarabe, who had the privilege of representing the people of Umaisha/Ugya State Constituency, took the opportunity to commend the Governor for his proactive approach in engaging the youths in the decision-making process, thereby giving them a sense of belonging and ownership. He further encouraged the youths and other people of the State to rally behind the Governor and provide him with the necessary support to succeed, which would have a positive impact on the State as a whole.
Balarabe Abdullahi advised youths across the country to be agents of peace, unity and development at all times, emphasizing the crucial role they play in shaping Nigeria’s future. He urged them to prioritize dialogue, understanding, and mutual respect in their interactions with others, regardless of their ethnic, religious, or socio-economic backgrounds.
The Kogi State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale revealed that he visited the former Speaker to express his solidarity and support for him. He also used the opportunity to pray for the former Speaker’s success and well-being in all his future endeavors.

The Kogi State Youths Council Chairman showed the former Speaker a car donation by their Governor to the youths as a symbol of appreciation for their support, just as he was presented with the Most Outstanding Politician Award by Global Times Nigeria in recognition of his exceptional leadership and dedication to public service.
