Rep Halims calls on Fed. Govt’s Intervention on Agojeju/Herdsmen clashes

Owing to rising insecurity and to avoid future occurrence, Deputy Majority Leader and Member Federal House of Representative, Representing the good people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency in Kogi State, Hon Ibrahim Ali Halims has moved motion on the floor of the house, calling on the federal government and other relevant agencies to come to the aid of the people of Agojeju community and its environs.

Halims who described the killings as barbaric stated that not less than 40 persons has lost their lives and properties worth millions of naira has been destroyed during the crisis and that the people of the area are living in fears as the attackers do come back on surprise without any provocation.

He calls on the federal government through the relevant agencies for the deployment of military and joint patrol in involving mobile police force and others to be stationed permanently in the area as he emphasize that ,the crisis if not nib in bud  is capable of escalating to other states like Benue, Enugu, Nassarawa and FCT as the people of the area has common boundary with the listed states.

He calls on the National Emergency management Agency and others to assist the people who has been displaced and are yet to receive government attention.

Rt Hon Halims is one of the national leader in the green chamber who has worked assiduously for the rights of his constituent and is representing his people adequately well.

It could be recalled that , some times ago,he sent some palliatives to the people of his constituency and other projects like rehabilitation of roads , provision of solar Street lights,bore hole among others were provided in addition to motion and bills aimed at moving the people of his constituency and Nigerians to the next level.

He is delighted to use this medium to tell the good people of Olamaboro LGA that very soon,solar Street lights will be made available right from welcome to Olamaboro junction to Ete aimed at lightning the area for over all development of the people as crimes and criminality may not survive in an atmosphere of brightness.

Rt Hon Halims is a seasoned legislature and administrator per excellent who’s record of excellence performance and achievements are glaring for all to see right from his days at the kogi state house of assembly to his present office.
He calls on the people of his constituency to remain supportive in prayers and others as more projects will soon start as we await the kick off of the implementation of the 2024 budget.
