….Ex- Speaker Balarabe’s grip on Toto LG is troubling me — PDP lawmaker, Sa’ad
During a meeting in Toto town, Abdullahi Ibrahim Sa’ad, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, lawmaker representing Umaisha/Ugya at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has voiced frustration to his host, noting the APC’s strong structure under Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and urging a select few to elect new party officers to serve their interests.
Sa’ad Abdullahi has voiced concerns about the former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, citing the APC leader’s substantial influence, which may undermine his removal efforts if left unaddressed.
Abdullahi Sa’ad told his APC host that he cannot return to the party while former Speaker Balarabe remains in leadership.
Sa’ad and his host, the APC member, have been exposed as ineffective by this development, putting their future political prospects at risk after a secret meeting was made public.
A source who attended the meeting and wishes to remain anonymous revealed that the PDP lawmaker openly stated to his host that the APC structure remains intact under Rt. Hon Balarabe, adding that the Appeal Court’s decision to remove the former Speaker may not have weakened him politically, given his extensive network across the LG.
Certain political analysts, who chose to remain anonymous, characterized both the host and Sa’ad as the most significant political failures in the history of Toto LG. The people of Toto LG, especially those from the Umaisha/Ugya axis, have expressed disappointment over Sa’ad’s inadequate representation in the assembly chamber.
Certain ruling party members have registered surprise that the Sa’ad host, who wields negligible political influence, readily and inexpensively consented to join this futile mission.
Our findings indicate that Sa’ad and his APC host have shown evident cowardice in their political position by revealing their poor political footing.
