As part of efforts to boost agricultural production in his constituency, Distinguished Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho has donated tons of fertilizer to his people in Dekina /Bassa Federal Constituency.
The donation, which is part of the senator ‘s intervention program to enhance agricultural efforts in Kogi East, aims to support farmers in the region and ensure a bumper harvest in the current farming season.
Senator Echocho, who represents Kogi East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, emphasized that the donation is open to all households in the region, regardless of party affiliation. “Farming knows no party or any other affiliation; thus, every farmer from Kogi East is entitled to benefit from this intervention,” he said.
The beneficiaries include teachers, artisans, security personnel, political party members, market women, youth organizations, religious and traditional institutions. The aim is to encourage farming as a way of ameliorating the hard economic reality in the country.
Alhaji Danlami Garba, Senior Legislative aide to Senator Echocho, led the distribution of the fertilizer and noted that the exercise was carried out without consideration to political, religious, or cultural identities. “We have ensured that this fertilizer reaches farmers in Dekina /Bassa Federal Constituency.
‘ The next destination of distribution would be Ankpa/Omala/ Olamaboro Federal Constituency which will follow suit to Idah,Odolu/Ofu Federal Constituency ‘ , Garba added
This gesture is part of Senator Echocho’s facilitation programs for his constituents, aimed at improving their livelihoods and promoting agricultural development in the region.
