A member of the Screening Committee for the All Progressive Congress Aspirants ahead of the Local Government’s election, Honourable Yunusa Gabriel Olofu has assured of a level playing ground for all Aspirants.
Honourable Olofu stated this in an interview with newsmen in Lokoja shortly after a screening session of Aspirants at the APC Secretariat in Lokoja.
He said the committee set up by the party is to ascertain that the Aspirants are on a sound footings ahead of the election.
Honourable Olofu said the committee looks into certificates and other vital documents presented to avoid unnecessary litigations that can arise due to anomaly or negligence.
Olofu who is the immediate past Commissioner for Commerce and Industry said all Aspirants will enjoy fair play within the provision of their constitutional rights.
On the recent, #end bad governance protest across the country in which Kogi State maintained an attitude of indifference, the former Commissioner attributed the decorum sustained as the reward of good leadership.
He praised Governor Yahaya Bello’s tenure for maintaining all inclusive Government which has galvanised all youths towards positive actions.
The former Commissioner said the End SARS saga has plunged the nation to destructions yet to be recovered from, hence the need to avoid such crises.
Olofu also commended Ododo for sustaining the good leadership established by his predecessor in the dimension of maintaining peace and orderliness in the state.
He recalled that Governor Bello was the only one who did not subscribed to the idea of lock down during the period of Covid 19 pandemic, emphasizing that his unique identity and disposition has always put Kogi on a positive dimensions.
