Three years into his tenure as Executive chairman of Toto Local Government Council, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas has established a reputation for innovative governance, clearly differentiating himself from those who held the position before him.
Tasha’s vision and approach are comprehensive, leveraging the expertise of his deputy and cabinet members to foster a collaborative environment that drives positive outcomes for Toto LG citizens.
These developments undoubtedly culminated in his decision to gather all twelve councillors, executive council members, SAs, SSAs, and the media team to bid them farewell as wish them well in their future.

Yahaya Idris Toto, Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman for Media and Publicity, in a statement issued 4th October, 2024, conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi Alhaji Sule for the opportunity to serve, recognizing the indispensable role of collective support and cooperation in achieving notable milestones, including infrastructure development, security enhancements, and community projects, and noted that the historical record will go along way in the area.
On the forthcoming LG elections, Hon. Tashas urged unity among stakeholders, emphasizing that the guidance provided by our political leaders will serve as the foundation for our collaborative efforts and actions.
In a special tribute to the former Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly and Chairman governing council Damatutu, Yobe State, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the outgoing council boss, recalled how he stood his ground that it must be zoning and eventually favoured him.
He described Toto LG political leader as a sincere leader who has the interest of his people at heart, calling on Toto LG people to continued to support for the betterment of the area.
He also thanked for two Commissions from Toto LG and stakeholders for their support
In separate responses, Hon. Abubakar Kwannaki, TLGC Deputy Chairman, Rt. Hon. Speaker Hon. Abdullahi Ozimazi of the TLG Legislative Council, Alh. Shuaibu Ahmed Adawari, APC Chairman and Special Adviser, and Hon. Yusuf Maikasuwa, Supervisory Councillor for Works and Housing, praised the Executive Chairman’s leadership, citing its collaborative, innovative, and consultative nature.
