The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, led by Chairman Dr. Aliyu Bello (Sardaunan Adogi), has established a High-Level Consensus Committee for the forthcoming 2024 Local Government Elections in Toto Local Government
Hon. Shuaibu Ahmed, Chairman of APC Toto LGA, will head the Committee, which has been mandated to conduct its proceedings in Lafia, the State Capital.
The Committee consists of:

The Committee’s Terms of Reference are as follows:
1. To scrutinize the applicants with a view to determining their eligibility in accordance with statutory requirements, taking into account their educational background and age.
2. To appraise the political experience of each prospective candidate, in order to ascertain their readiness for governance.
3. To measure the attractiveness and general approval of the Aspirants.
4. To determine the aspirant’s knowledge of local government administration and its relevance to implementing the State’s rural development policy.
5. Following its evaluation, the Committee will nominate the most qualified candidate (s) as the party’s flag bearer, submitting its recommendations to His Excellency, The Executive Governor, and the party Chairman for further consideration.
