Traditional ruler handover notorious motorcycle snatchers, cable thieves to police in Toto

The Ohinoyi of Ogye- Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa state, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammed Umar Azaki, has ordered four arrested suspected notorious motorcycle snatchers and vandalizing of transformer cables to the police in the area

A vigilante officer, known as Idris said the four suspected thieves are known to be responsible for stealing of motorcycles around Toto town and its environs as well as vandalizing of transformer cables in the area.
He said luck ran out of the suspects after they stole a motorcycle in the area on Thursday, in which he said the owner immediately reported to the vigilante.
According to him, the vigilante upon receiving the report of the stolen motorcycle mobilize to a location where the hoodlums hide the motorcycle in order to move it out of the town at night.
” It was on the process when the vigilante got the information where they hide the motorcycle, in which the local mobilized to the area and arrested four of the gang members and took to the chiefs palace,” he said.
The vigilante, who gave the names of the suspected notorious motorcycle snatchers as Abdul, Muhammad, Zakari and Suleiman, said they have been handed over to the police for prosecution in the area.
However, the palace spokesperson, Mallam Shuaibu Musa Kani, confirmed the arrest of the suspects, on Toto emirate Facebook page.
“Attention all! Be on the lookout for these individuals suspected of motorcycle snatching and transformer vandalism in Toto,” he said.
He added “they are currently in police custody, but it’s essential to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. Let’s work together to prevent future incidents.
There had been reported cases of unabated theft, kidnapping and internet fraud in the area, with the recent development things will start taking shape and for the good of the area.
