Expelled Usman Ogohi arrested for impersonating Kogi NYCN Chairman, criminal conspiracy, others

The Kogi State police command has arrested one Usman Ogohi, the expelled Kogi State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, for impersonating the incumbent leadership headed by Comrade Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale and defrauding unsuspecting victims within and outside the State.

The suspect was said to have created a factional group of the Kogi State chapter of the NYCN, where he forged signatories of the present leadership to swindle people.

A statement from the police command indicated that the suspect was arrested today in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

According to the report, Ogohi had impersonated the State chapter of the NYCN and carted away some items belonging to the council.

Our correspondent report that Usman Ogohi was arrested by the law enforcement following series of petitions by various youth organizations within and outside Kogi State.

He will be charge to court after the police conclude it’s investigation.

Ogohi had been removed as Kogi State NYCN Chairman over abuse of office, impersonation and stealing of some properties belonging to the Youth Secretariat, and other related offences.

He had impersonated the office of the Chairman since his removal by the stakeholders and 21 LGAs coordinators

Ogohi had also boasted of travelling round the country to impersonate the office of the Chairman and had series of an illegal engagements on behalf of the State chapter.
