Katakpa Killing: Former Nasarawa Speaker calls for calm, urges residents not to take law into their hands

The immediate past Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi on Friday visited his constituency to sympathize with his people over the recent attack in Katakpa community, where suspected Bassa Militias killed village head and many others.

Balarabe Abdullahi who represented the people of Umaisha/Ugya state constituency led a powerful delegation on a condolence visit to the paramount ruler of Toto local government area, HRH. Alhaji Usman Abdullahi at his palace.

The former Speaker sympathized with the Royal Father and the people of Katakpa community over the passing of Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq, the village head and others who lost their lives during the attack.

Balarabe equally called for calm among his people over the unfortunate incident urging them not to take laws into their hands as government is doing everything possible to bring an end to the situation.

He enjoined Ohimegye and the entire people of the area to intensify prayers for God to intervene and expose all those behind the attack.

Responding, the Ohimegye Opanda Umaisha HRH Alh Usman Abdullahi thanked Balarabe Abdullahi for the visit and for identifying with his people at this unfortunate time playing God to bless him abundantly.

Ohimegye Opanda commended Balarabe Abdullahi for the passion and concern he has for his people even after living office and urged him to sustain the spirit praying God to open more ways of prosperity for him.
