Man Who walked from Niger State To Kogi to celebrate Governor Elect Discharged from Hospital

Global Times Nigeria has obtained a report that Mallam Mustapha who trekked from Kontagora in Niger State to Lokoja, to celebrate Kogi State Governor-elect, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has been discharged from the hospital after 3 days of being hospitalized.

Mustapha who started the journey on 11th January, 2024 was received by the Lokoja Local Government Caretaker Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu on behalf of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo at his office on Sunday, 21 January, 2024.

In a press statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media Publicity to the Chairman of Lokoja local government, Comr. Iliyasu Zakari and made available to the Press, said Mallam Mustapha was admitted at the Shifaah hospital Lokoja, the Kogi State capital after the long journey.

According to him, his admission was on the instance of the caretaker committee Chairman of Lokoja LG.

The Chairman thanked the Management of a Shifaah Hospital for not only taking good care of Mallam Mustapha but for also offsetting the medical bills incurred.

Recall, that Mallam Mustapha had embarked on the journey to fulfill a promise he made to celebrate Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo who while working in Kontagora had rendered assistance to him and his siblings 17 years ago when they lost their parents.
