Olatosho Mathew Oshoffa, the 10th son and 20th child of the late founder of Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Bilewu Oshoffa, have spoken about controversy surrounding his late father. He asserted that polygamy is not prohibited among shepherds in the church despite the Biblical position of one man, one wife.

Olatosho Mathew Oshoffa in a resent interview with Punch Newspaper, addressed various contentious issues surrounding his late father, Bilewu Oshoffa.
When asked about the controversy about his father regarding the number of wives and children his father had, Olatosho said:
“My father left this world on 10th September 1985. He left behind 13 wives and 53 children. Many people have said he had 100 children and so on. But no. We (the children) know ourselves and up till now, I can tell you that we know the number of wives that gave birth to this number of children for my father.
So, we know ourselves and relate very well. There is one love in the family, no matter how many we are. The number of children is 53, but we are all in one love and one accord.
